We just love this place...its our fourth return visit and this time to celebrate my 70th Birthday. Irma is a super host, her great warmth and friendlyness make staying at their beautiful home something really special. Only two guest rooms which makes you feel really at home with the beautiful minimal and well designed spaces, a library with honest bar...and great architectural books, a small lounge area ( soft background jazz ) opening onto the private garden where you have one of Irma's superb breakfasts..complete with hostess trolly ( designer of course ) full of lovely things..the breads, pastries, homemade conserves plus the dried fruits and nuts, the seasonal fruit salads, the watermelon with feta cheese ( might be a local one ..not sure ) the ham and cheeses...not to mention of course one of Irma's specials...avocado with banana and cream, sprinkled with nuts and chocolate and a few chia seeds...and if your still hungry eggs cooked to perfection. The old station building, Irma and Jos's home is pure magic an architectural mix of minimal design and the old brick architecture..many designer and covereted. things can bee seen here, a mix of great style and simplicity. The two guest room are in a small beautifully built contemporary wing adjacent the old building which faces you as you enter the gated property up a long tree lined drive... This is one of the nicest B&B's in Belgium and certainly a special place to visit any time of the year. Thank you Irma for making my birthday something very special. with our love. Brian and Philippe
