We are a group of 15 wine enthusiasts who stayed at Casa Pasqualin from 9 to 23 September 2017. The house was an excellent choice, being very well-equipped and with plenty of room for everyone with all its quirky staircases and unusual bedrooms. It also had fabulous views across the valley and was handy for the local village. We had expected to be in an area of vineyards, and were not disappointed, and were lucky to be there at harvest time. There were also numerous historic towns and villages round about, including Asti with its Palio and wine festival in September. The big bonus was that there were so many superb and peaceful walks to be taken directly from the house up to the hilltops above, from where you could see the Alps (with some snow) on a clear day.
We found the locals very friendly, and discovered some excellent places to eat out within a few minutes drive of the house, also some lovely vineyards for wine-tasting - in particular, the WWF Oasis vineyard nearby, where the owners were incredibly friendly and treated us so well. We also had a local mamma who came to cook for us one evening, which was also most enjoyable! All in all, a great house in a wonderful tranquil area. Thoroughly recommended.
