Our stay at the Josihaus captured exactly the mountainside idyll we were searching for. Quiet and relaxing, charming and rustic, it was often nice to just stand on the balcony and listen to the silently falling snow, watch the clouds drifting along up and down the valley or stoking the monolith soapstone fire till your clothes smelled of sweet charred pine sap. Effortlessly beautiful.
The house is equipped for precisely the landscape and activities around it. Maps. Guides. Board Games. Firewood. Sleds. A hand whittled walking stick and post horn, why not. Axe and chopping block. And anything else you can think of.
Thomas and caretaker Marianne were superbly accommodating. Communicating how to get there, what to do, even daily weather and avalanche reports.
Just an overall pure delight to stay in!
