My husband and I had an intimate, civil wedding ceremony last weekend in Salzburg, and we chose Haus Hirt as our reception venue and home base for the wedding. And are we thrilled we did!
It was no easy task for the Haus Hirt team, but boy did they step up to the challenge! Due to immigration reasons (I'm American, he's Austrian), we had to bump up the wedding, so we booked the place 2 weeks (!) before the wedding, and up until the day before we were still deciding on the reception dinner menu! But I can't stress enough how well it came together due to the hard work and love put in by Evelyn, the lovely owner of Haus Hirt, and her amazing team (especially Michaela).
We actually booked two Alpenlofts (Tessa & Rosa) for our respective families, and my husband and I had planned to stay in the hotel. But upon arrival, my husband and I were notified that they had upgraded us to the biggest (and arguably most beautiful) Alpenloft, Camillo! It was such a pleasure to have such a beautifully designed chalet all to ourselves, and we spent our days enjoying Camillo and its incredible views.
As for our reception dinner, it came together perfectly! Evelyn set aside a beautiful private room for us, and decorated it to our taste (candles galore and stunning flower arrangements). The food was AMAZING - every dish unique and delicious. We were all so impressed! On top of that, the service was impeccable, especially from Zoran (I think that's his name), who was charming and attentive.
My husband and I also appreciated the other, lovely touches that went into making our wedding weekend perfect: breakfast deliveries to the chalet, a bottle of champagne and beautiful bouquet of roses sitting in our bedroom upon arrival, the nightly turndown service (with rose petals of course...).
I cannot properly say how grateful we are to Evelyn and her wonderful team for all that they did (in a very limited timeframe). The chalets were stunning, the reception dinner was magical, the Haus Hirt folks were kind and friendly - what more could we have asked for? My memories of this weekend will never fade and I just can't wait to visit again."
