It was a special treat for me to have seen the house during the renovation, and then stay in it with family and friends for two weeks a good year later. Since the structure dates from 1453, it counts as one of the oldest in the village, and its location is nothing less than stellar. The layout is comfortable, and insures a degree of privacy and/or chance to retreat, since the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house. The views out over the valley are stunning, and the ease of access to the church (for the fine concerts in the Musikdorf Ernen summer festival) made it perfect for us. Aside from that, its an excellent location from which to hike in the Binntal and/or explore the Fiescheralp - Bettmeralp-Riederalp heights opposite, which include the chance to oversee the phenomenal Aletsch glacier. Highly recommended!
